From the PROOF Mar/Apr 2008 Allied Member Spotlight: Long time MLBA allied member Mike Ruddy, co-owner of Paulet Slater Insurance Agency, passed away on Valentine's Day at age 70. Mike was well known as a Dram Shop Insurance specialist. Mike’s clients included hundreds of family owned businesses that read like a who’s who of Minnesota’s bar and restaurant scene. Client’s included the Parker House, Mancini’s, Plum’s, Ole Mexico, Gallivan’s, The Blue Horse, O’Gara’s, De Gidio’s, The Manor, Joe Sensor’s and Nye’s. For several years, Mike had been preparing Jeff Stanley to run Paulet/Slater with the same customer oriented services that Mike provided. So while MLBA members mourn Mike’s passing members can rest assured that they can count on the same business service they have come to rely on from Paulet Slater.
