Online SALES Guide for Employers. What is S.A.L.E.S. Online Alcohol Server Training? S.A.L.E.S is the revolutionary educational program for employers and employees of drinking establishments created by the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association (MLBA). It's an acronym that stands for Selling Alcohol Legally Effectively and Safely. Just like the MLBA's classroom S.A.L.E.S training, having your employees trained on line can reduce your Dram Shop insurance rates by up to 15% (depending on your insurance agency) What does S.A.L.E.S. Online Alcohol Server Training consist of? The student will start with a 25 question Alcohol IQ Test to help them determine what they already know and help them learn what things they do not know. The student will be given immediate feedback after they answer each question whether they are right or wrong and an explanation of each answer. After successfully answering all 25 questions the student will then be taken to the first of 10 video presentations, which consist of a video with sound on the left and on the right will be important information that coincides with the video. After each video segment (each lasting from 2 - 5 minutes) the student will be required to correctly answer a series of questions in order to move on to the next segment.
Once the 10 video segments are completed, the student will receive a certificate of completion that can be printed out for your records and the students information will be logged in the S.A.L.E.S Online Training database that they have successfully completed the training. How do I sign my employee(s) up for S.A.L.E.S. Online Alcohol Server Training? Just click the Online SALES logo at the top of the screen (or click here) to go to the Online SALES home page. You can pay online with Visa, M/C and Discover. Once you have purchased a course or a block of courses you will be given a S.A.L.E.S. membership ID that can be used up to one year after the date of purchase. If your computer does not meet these requirements, you or your employees can take the training on any computer that is hooked up to the Internet. The S.A.L.E.S. What if I (or my employee) gets disconnected or are unable to complete the training, will I have to start all over? No. Each student will provide a login and password when they register for the course, so if they want to complete the training at a later time, all they have to do is “Login” and the training will start off at the video segment that they left off. If you do not have a SALES Membership ID or if it says you no longer have any views on your account, you must purchase additional courses by clicking "Purchase". Once you have registered and entered a valid SALES Membership ID, you are ready to begin. What does the course consist of? The video presentations consist of the SALES course video on the left and related facts on the right. The video can be paused at any time and replayed as many times as you would like. At the end of the video segment, a series of questions will "pop up" in the window behind the video player. When you are done watching the video, simply click the link in the right side of the player window to automatically proceed to answer the 2 or 3 segment questions and then click "Submit" at the bottom of the page. Again you must answer each question correctly before you can move on to the next segment.
