SUMMARY:2016 MLBA GOLF OUTING\, JULY 13TH
DESCRIPTION:The 28th Annual 2016 MLBA Golf Outing was held on a beautiful sunny day with highs in the low 80’s and a nice breeze. A completely full tournament of 160 golfers started the day with a goodie bag filled with great prizes donated by our great sponsors (scroll down to see the complete list of sponsors). \nThe “Scramble” tournament started at Noon sharp and Team “Dirty Whooore Clothing Co” (www.dirtywhooore.com) came in first place with a -16 team score. Team Valu Plus Liquor came in second (-15) and Team Illinois Casualty 2 was third at -14. Golfers will be able to sample products from wine\, beer and spirits vendors while on the course. There are several “contest holes” including longest drive\, longest putt\, closest to the pin\, closest to the line and two $10k hole-in-one contests! \nThe top 3 teams in the scramble format will get prizes donated by our great Allied Members and a “grand” prize will go out to the team that finishes 28th (for the 28th annual golf day). Even the team that finishes last usually gets a prize\, so you don’t have to be great golfers to get great prizes. Plus\, each participant will receive a “goodie bag” filled with great prizes. \nThe shotgun start begins at Noon sharp. Aside from free beverages on course\, golfers can take advantage of a free lunch “at the turn” sponsored by Anheuser-Busch. After the tournament (around 5:30pm)\, golfers will receive a nice banquet dinner and awards ceremony sponsored by Illinois Casualty Company. It’s a full day of fun and it’s a day members look forward to every year. We hope to see you there! \n  \n\nFrom Last Year’s Golf Outing: \nThe 27th Annual MLBA Golf Outing was again blessed with absolutely perfect weather for golf with temps in the low 70’s and partly cloudy skies. A record number of vendors greeted the golfers on every tee and there were multiple vendors on several tees. \nThe day started out with the 144 golfers getting a goodie bag with several hats and shirts as well as product sample and can coolers\, tee sets and much more donated by our great sponsors listed below. \nGolfers were then treated to lunch either before the Noon start or when they came trough the clubhouse all thanks to sponsors Illinois Casualty Company and Anheuser-Busch. After the round was completed\, several prizes were awarded for 1st – 3rd place teams in the Scramble as well as a Grand Prize for the 27th place team and several contests like longest drive and closest to the pin\, etc. \nA fine dinner was served compliments of our great Allied Member\, Illinois Casualty Company. See below for our list of sponsors and also the winning teams.
