Take action NOW to support “take out liquor” to help bars/restaurants

3/23/20

Dear Members:

This weekend, the Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association sent a letter to Governor Tim Walz urging him to approve “take out liquor” for bars and restaurants. Essentially, we believe on-sale establishments currently closed to sit-down customers should be allowed to sell beer and wine in closed containers to customers who are also purchasing a take-out food order. We also suggested several parameters for this effort. (More info here.)

MLBA also sent a letter, co-signed with other retailer, wholesaler, and employee associations, urging liquor stores to remain open if a “shelter-in-place” order was announced for Minnesota. (More info here.)

Please help intensify this message by also sending a personal letter to Governor Walz and your legislators through this easy link. We’ve put together a pre-written, customizable letter that will automatically send to the right decision-makers. Please take action today to amplify this effort by clicking here.

Customers and other supporters can also help – please send them directly to the website: https://www.mlba.com/advocacy to send an easy and important email.

The licensed beverage industry stands together and deeply needs support now and in the future.
