After this week’s primary election, the picture for the November elections is becoming much clearer. Minnesota will have closely contested races for statewide executive offices, U.S. Senate, and the 2nd Congressional District. This will mean narrow margins in many state legislative seats. We will also likely see record spending this year up and down the ballot, so prepare yourself for an absurd amount of mail and TV ads.

- DFL: Amy Klobuchar defeats a handful of primary challengers.
- GOP: Lisa Demuth defeats Mike Lindell, Kendall Qualls, and others.
U.S. Senate
- DFL: Lt Gov. Peggy Flanagan defeats Congresswoman Angie Craig.
- GOP: Michele Tafoya beats a field of challengers including Royce White and Adam Schwarze.
