On July 27th, the liquor store industry lost a friend and an industry giant.

Jack Farrell, 82, owner of several Haskell’s stores in the Twin Cities passed away on Saturday, July 27th. Words cannot express how much he has been treasured and will be missed. I met Jack back in 2001 when I began my career at the MLBA. He was kind and was critical in educating me on the ins and outs of the off-premise industry, not only here in Minnesota, but nationwide. I considered Jack to be a friend, a mentor and someone I could call whenever I needed guidance or advice. Our industry owes a lot to Jack and his legacy will live on for generations. Thank you for everything, Jack! We will miss you.
