Lynn Johnson

Lynn Johnson, the founder of Johnson Brothers Liquor Company passed away over the weekend. Lynn started the Johnson Brothers company in 1953 as a one man operation in St. Paul.  The company grew under his leadership to be the largest spirits and wine wholesaler in Minnesota and distribute to some 17 states making them one of the top wholesalers in the U.S.  His obituary is below. Lynn-JohnsonJohnson, Lynn W. age 84 a lifelong resident of St. Paul, passed away 1/12/2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Yale & Sara Johnson and sister, Gayle Johnson Cohen. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria; children, Robin, Bradley (Jill), Michael (Elaine) and Todd (Beth); 11 grandchildren; brother, Mitchell (Lois); and many nieces and nephews. Lynn was the founder of Johnson Brothers Liquor Company, an active member of Osman Shrine, an Eagle Scout, and a philanthropist. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. TUESDAY (1/14/14) at MOUNT ZION TEMPLE, 1300 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Private family interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s favorite charity.
