Impact of Executive Order 20-04 on Liquor “Posting” List

This just in from the Minnesota Department of Revenue (September 24th)

Businesses required to suspend or reduce services under Executive Order 20-04 are not subject to Liquor Posting for taxes and returns due from February 1, 2020, until four months after the Executive Order ends.

Businesses not required to suspend or reduce services under Executive Order 20-04 continue to be subject to liquor posting. This includes businesses classified as Beer, Wine, and Liquor Stores, Gas Stations with Convenience Stores, and Supermarkets and Other Grocery Stores.

We will send delinquent businesses a Liquor Posting Intent letter. They must follow its instructions to prevent being added to the Liquor Posting List. Once added to the list, a business cannot purchase liquor, beer, or wine for resale.

For details about Liquor Posting, see Tax Delinquency Lists.
