Reservation Service Finds Mpls Restaurants Down over 50% Compared to 2019

In a recent Fox News article:

“The number of daily diners in the city of Minneapolis was down an average of 54.3% in July — so the city had less than half the number of people eating out, compared with July 2019, according to OpenTable. It’s the worst recovery of any city in the world tracked by the restaurant reservation service.”

Also from the article, Wild Greg’s Saloon in Downtown Minneapolis (which has just closed after this Fox News article was written): “Business at [Greg Urban’s] two Sunshine State hotspots is up about 30% over the pre-pandemic year of 2019, while down “in excess of” 50% in Minneapolis.
